What’s one “boring” skill that silently changed your life — but nobody talks about?

1. Communication - being able to write and talk, and articulate my views clearly.

2. Being kickass at Linux & shell scripting -

Almost everything in the IT world today has Linux underlying it - Cloud/AWS, MacOS, iOS, Android, Docker, WSL etc.

I see so many developers running into issues and struggling on all these platforms, and when I investigate, it is because of lack of understanding of how the underlying Linux shell & kernel work.

Knowing Linux well has helped me immensely in my software engineering career 😊
