What percentage of your income do you (wish to) allocate to donations?

I’m not trying to flex my financial status but genuinely want to contribute to helping those in need. Currently, I visit orphanages and old age homes 2-4 times a year, giving them with food, clothes, and support for improving their infra. However, I’m not a fan of how UNICEF runs its campaigns or the operational methods of most NGOs.
