I'm dealing with what feels like intense anxiety or maybe even depression, and I think I need to step away and fully focus on my mental health for a month or two.
I want to get proper treatment, but to do that, I’d likely have to quit. Is it a good idea? I'm worried that I might not be able to get a good job post break, due to little to no leverage.
What should I really do?

First of all, take a day off and think what's giving you anxiety or say depression. Depending on that, let's say it's work. Then make a plan accordingly to fix it. For example I was feeling this stress and kinda depression last month when they asked to return to office for a shitty salary and team. For atleast a month I kept feeling how it will happen after this long , the work is shit in itself and many more aspects made me feel that anxiety every day thinking about it throughout the day even outside office hours. Then I calmed my self and let it go with the flow and stopped stressing about it and went with daily routine. The thing is we stress about future in our present and that stress keep destroying us until that future become our present.

And if it's getting extremely out of hand, put resignation while applying for jobs and do bare minimum in your current job without taking that stress current job gives. Or resign and take a month or two break and get back into finding a job while keep on upskilling

dont resign,it will put you more stress.try to find the reason which makes you feel anxious.

If you need genuine help, get a medical prescription. Request for a medical sabbatical. Infosys definitely gives 6 months of sabbatical leave

Which dc you are in now ?

I think, you can take a break and the company allows it

A trip for a week or 2 might help
