What makes a good Data Engineer?

I am a new college grad and at my 1st job was a part of the data team where I learnt about ETL Pipelines, AWS, Flink etc. Now I wish to make my career as a Data Engineer ( a really good one). Need some suggestions regarding what are the skills, technologies and practices that make Data Engineers really good at what they do and what is a good point for me to prepare for the same?
