What kind of businesses don't need advertising?
Brick and mortar is an obvious one , but that's still dependent on having a good location to a certain extent still.
What are some businesses (prod/service) that don't need as much advertising as others, or any ads at all?

Product businesses need advertising. Service businesses, mainly knowledge based businesses don't.

I guess if you have less or no competitors then products don't need ads either. People find and come to you on their own.
That's hard to achieve as well.
