Trending @Infosys; What is this RFP? JL5 onwards people are doing project work along with lot of other work like RFP. Then they are getting 57% Quarterly PB.

What are benefits of RFP to JL5? Becoz only few JL5 are asking to do this others are not doing it.

None, you get screwed!!.
Only benefit is you get exposure to multiple tech stack architecture and closure exposure to tech architecture team.

These are proposals. Although u get no benefits however will give a lot of exposure towards pre-sales, various tech stacks, estimations, cross domain engagement etc.

If someone have bandwidth he or she will happily do this. If person is already occupied with project deadlines then how correct is it to forced him to work on rfp and meet rfp deadlines as well where that person told by management like you need strech to complete target?

I have been working for public sector RFPs since 6 months now

They don't give you project codes, no benefits ... It's like extra work for free

Only possible outcome can be if you're working under someone maybe JL7 then they can ask HR for raise on your behalf
That too not sure will work.... Depends how that manager is

For any project, first we need to understand the initial requirement given by them and we need to propose a solution along with the commercials( cost to the project) , resources and duration of the project we can complete. There will be a 1-2 hr discussion will be there with the client and infy team. If client satisfied with our solution , commercial and duration, he will handover that project to us. mostly every vertical CTO team and L6 on wards invovles on this.
There is no relation to variable pay with the above.
