What is this 'Manager -Projects' designation in CTS ? Is it managerial? I have total exp of 9.5 yrs in it and relevant exp for the role 8 yr

I would be really carefull. In India designation means nothing. Every second person in an investment bank is called VP.
In my first job in manufacturing the entry level designation for an engg was asst. Manager.
6 years exp I was called sr. Manager, I didn't hav a team reporting to me nor I had P&L responsibility. In Genpact i joined as manager spl.projects. I did nothing uy send meaning less report

Kuch nahi ye sab ka matlab hai that your package is very high but you will be working as dev. Haan ek baat aur but jab project me trouble hoga to manager will put blame on you and hold you accountable to save himself .
These designations are double edged sword when you just take the higher designation but still working as a dev
I am not sure why they offered me this role in offer letter.
