What is the worst thing that happened to you here?
I was in this project last year where they did not give any work until 2 weeks before project completion. We were literally sitting idle for hours at office. But as soon as those 2 weeks began OMG!! They used to force us to sit for more than 9-10 hours. You could not ask for WFH and they would not let us leave when we entered the building. The only good thing was that company provided food and cab facility.

I lost all my development skills after joining tcs. I work on a totally BS project where there is no scope of learning only document we are making. Nothing to grow and not even getting release from project. Due to losing all skills now it's getting difficult to clear interviews. I was having 4+ yrs of experience in pure development before joining tcs now after 2 yrs in tcs and 6+ yrs experience I feel like fresher. Tcs is the worst thing happened in my career.

I left an onsite travel opportunity in my previous company because i had beef few managers and couldn't bear the toxicity (my ego came in). joined tcs for a paltry hike, but then put into a project with almost fresher level work and no learning. Now got a performance band C after nearly two years with no hope for an increment or release from this project. on top of that, have to work from office 5 days a week now.
gosh I fucked up!!! π€¦

@JuniorAspic1 This is what we call Pro Gamer move.

OMG.. Your grade, experience and technology you are working on???

I had my ILP in Aug 2019. From September to May 2020 I didnβt have a project in my hand. June onwards I has a project. Again from Jan 2024 I donβt have a project. Iβve wasted more than a year without any project. I donβt blame anyone. I just myself for not upskilling

@Pixel_Pusher Damn. This company is just about shitting on people with talent. While the mediocre and untalented get promoted.

It's good that you realise your mistake. Now correct it, learn, upskill, switch.

Project allotment in TCS seems to work more on luck than logic. Some people just get lucky and some end up in a bad place. Many ppl mentioned here they are struck in a bad project or on bench.
So remember guys ask as many questions as possible before joining projects, meet ur RMG and make him understand what ur skillset are, so he doesn't push u into something else.
If you still end up in a bad project, ask for release as soon as you join, sounds aggressive but it's the best way to get out. If you work there for months & then ask for release, the chances to be released will be low.

My rating was revised from B to A last year after I protested a lot, but still they did not increase my salary to A level. They said as per new policy, C3 and above resources wont get their salary revised even if their band is revised. π©

I worked over worked with 99% quality with 120% quantity too even my name is going for promotion July 21' but after 3 months I got engaged and the higher authorities said you are getting promotion in your personal life why should you need promotion in your professional life.
So from then till now I am still waiting for promotion πππππππ

My Manager assured me for on-site and he himself went giving me a B band

I got multiple offers with a good hike , but tcs promised an immediate onsite , and promotion. Hence reverted the paper and got screwed no onsite , no promotion, even got c band. Now I am not able to get the interview call itself .
