Trending @Infosys; What is the one thing you hate about working here at Infosys ?

I am completely unmotivated to work here anymore. Infosys treats me like I am a slave and it is killing me on the inside.

I hate the fact that I need to work all day and all night while the lead gets away with presenting everything and taking credit while doing no work.

The worst thing? Her manager accepts this and encourages this.

Well ,It's not that bad !
Infosys offers some perks also

  1. The variable pay ! Additional quarterly money based on your performance (JL4 & above )

  2. Subsidies Rates : Food at Infosys is provided at cheaper rates ,Quality of food is Good .

  3. Transportation: Cabs at concessional rates ,Project allows then its free.

Shuttles ,Buses are free.

  1. Insurance benefits: One of the major perks is the Insurance. Which is condition less, Covers you ,Spouse ,family and also in laws .

  2. IJPs allows you to change your unit ! Project also.

  3. Some people get retention bonuses .

  4. Onsite opportunity is a big Yes ! If you give 4_5 years then they have offices at various locations of Europe and North America ,They will send you .

These are Pros !

Additional quarterly money ? Are you kidding?? It's part of our CTC only and we don't get it 100% . Only 70-80%

Let me reply on your each point

  1. Actual pay is so less. So there is no point in variable pay. Variable pay is given in other companies also. The variable pay percentage is also getting reduced every quarter.

  2. Subsidied food rates - There are companies which are giving free food to employees. Keep in mind those companies are much smaller than Infosys.

  3. Transportation- Cabs at concessional rates. Shuttle and buses free. This is false and wrong statement. At least in Pune is neither free nor at concession.

  4. Insurance here does not cover parents.

  5. Project change at IJP one has to fulfill so many conditions to be eligible. So it is very difficult to change project or unit.

  6. Retention bonus is given max 10-15% here which is a joke TBH

  7. for onsite again lot of politics and favouritism takes place. Not all projects have onsite and the projects are less.

Bossy culture, favourism, not having role clarity, neither having clarity with the requirements, you can't ask questions peeps tend to get annoyed if you ask which is pretty bad.

Ok. As long as the project is going smoothly, you can work alone and take the credits. When something goes wrong, Managers get the brickbats too from both the client and Sr Leadership within the company. Also managing a team of 5 people is in itself a big task day to day, solving their problems or providing technical inputs etc. If you think you have attained a role maturity, take a team lead role and solve your colleagues problems which will give you visibility and progression/ promotion.
