What is the most hilariously absurd corporate rule you've seen?

Just remembered a ridiculous policy from an old workplace and I can't stop laughing We had to log our daily hours on this ancient portal... but the system was so glitchy it took like 20 mins every Friday just to submit it.

When people complained about wasting time, management literally told us to create a new billing code called "Timesheet Management" and bill 0.5 hours to it. We were logging time for the time it took to log our time.

The best part is a client actually noticed it on an invoice once and asked why they were paying for our internal admin work. The absolute panic from the leadership that week was pure comedy.

What's the dumbest rule you guys have dealt with? Pls tell me I'm not alone in this circus.
