What is the min time required for a promotion in TCS?

I am 3 yrs old in the organization and joined as a fresher. I have no idea of how promotions work. Can someone explain the process of very first promotion? Who initiates these discussions?

Promotions in TCS usually take 3-4 years. Your manager initiates discussions based on your performance. It's not automatic, so keep performing well and communicate with your manager.
