years in current grade means how long u have been in ur current position. it is used to determine if u are eligible for promotion. longer u stay, better ur chances for promotion.

It has been 6 years for me but my manager saying it's showing zero years in current grade. I have changed project 6 months ago. Does it affect years in current grade??
