What is the future of product design like?
I'm seeing a lot of posts where people are leaving the field of product design or ux design stating they don't see a good future. Recently saw a few reels where it said product/ux designers are required only upto a point in companies and after that they aren't required especially in startups. Can someone help me understand get a clarity?
I think, as a designer the more value if we can pour into the business. There will never going to be bad future.
We should create more innovation wherever possible and I think unless other domain, designers always have an upper hand in terms of visualisation and finalising on the outcome.
So I see future is still safe for designers.

I agree with you and looking at the current market conditions, it looks very scary for designers. Companies have tons of expectations from a candidate and pay very less salary, most companies fire designers first when it comes to cost cutting. I have been applying for jobs and see so many fake posts, especially on LinkedIn, it has become a fashion now to post a fake job to get engagement on socials. Every other web/mobile app is the same nowadays so companies just want to copy each other. I have faced this at my last job, the founder used to stack screenshots from different websites on figma and align them vertically, like a website and asked us to copy that entirely, it's done almost everywhere. So the chance for innovation is zero. Also the AI thing, make designs from figma and stuff is super scary. Not trying to scare anyone, but just sharing facts. This is just my personal opinion.
That's is true I got layed of from startup once iam done with all their screens and stuff. Inthink the maximum of ur doing a big project 3 yrs u could add value and after that u ll just get fired or low hike,u will feel miserable too.
And don't listen to folks who have made it ,they just got fucking lucky,the funny thing is I saw a so called designer leader who is a mentor in a platform who takes money from juniors or people want to get into design preaching anyone ca. Be designers u have to work hard,this lau ....da...is privilege ass from high end design college with design degree....the same gus posted a job hiring ,mentioning only people with design degree apply.
I mean wtf ..theg themselves don't hire of u don't have a design degree and then they go and bark they I will teach you ...la...nd. BNCHD
