Trending @Infosys; What is Project Manager Role

Hey Folks, Could you please help in telling what is expected from a PM. It seems I have been asked to help team in technical issues, which as per me should be role of Tech lead. But if there is no tech lead in team, then PM need to code and fix? Is that expected from PM role?

Here Designation is just for name sake but what actually they do is different based on the business requirements. I know my Sr. PM worked as Business Analyst along with me in our project.
