What is PIP and when will it happen in tcs?

If we are on the bench do we get the PIP because if we are on the bench we can't get work right. And even there is no chance to get D band also

PIP, or Performance Improvement Plan, is for employees not meeting performance standards. In TCS, it usually starts after a 'D' band rating. It's a serious warning; failure to improve can lead to termination.
