
What is one harsh truth about the Indian startup ecosystem that nobody wants to admit?

Most startup ideas are complete garbage and the companies are doomed from the start.
India is harsher on failure. You dont have that safety net kind of thing and additionally responsibilities to bear. Ideas are good or bad is one thing but risk is actually more. Because for an avg corporate emp its more of a loss than experience if things didnt work.

That we are much far behind China right now. We aren’t even where China tech ecosystem was around 2012

That much of it rests on IIT IIM degrees, and that those degree holders don't care whether their startup lives or dies. They just want to earn a few millions out of their startups and then disappear after shutting down the company with a LinkedIn post.

We have no true startups.
