All these years we said jail the one who is corrupt. Remove the MPs and MLAs who are corrupt. This new bill will not only remove Ministers, MP and MLAs but also CMs and Prime Ministers if at all they are found guilty.
And the Opposition is opposing it. So is AAP. I expected a better standard from Kejriwal. His whole career is carved out of the anti corruption movement.
If the ruling party is so concerned about the corruption then for last 10 years why it is acting as washing machine to clean the corrupt leaders? Only point in passing the bill is misusing ED and CBI only on opposition leaders and making it easy to destabilize the governments

If you think Judiciary is compromised by the ruling party then , do you support judicial reforms or are you alright with courts asking to write essays for hit and run and not suspending the judge on whose premise wades of cash were found. We must choose our battle.

The success rate of ED and CBI is less than 2% for the last 12 years to all the opposition leaders they put in remand and then in jail.... So why would they not protest it??
Further more Umar Khalid has been on Jail for 5 years now without any trial under UAPA.. He might be a bad person, he might be worse or there is 1% chance he might be good..but why not conduct a trial that can actually decide what he is...Give him fasi if he is wrong..but to feed him free for 5 years?? pLus this stupid act is against the basic principle of Judiciary- "You are innocent untill proven guilty.".. Any cases on ruling party MP, MLAs will be easily dropped out. It's not that bjp will stay in power forever, but rn they own most of the institutions. Just look at how pragya thakur is released despite the enormous amount of evidence against her. And the entire nation knows about Modiji in 2002 (even bjp cadres admitted he has hand in it). And Manipur's CM had hand in recent violence, and he's free as well. Vajpayee had multiple hate speech cases on him (1984 Assam nellie massacre, 90s babri masjid issue) all dropped in 96 when he became PM. Rajiv Gandhi's borfos scam was dropped when Cong got power again. Many big names got excluded from 2g spectrum.
It's better to have a system that's weak but somewhat fair than a strong unfair system.

No matter what laws are made they will always be used opposite party and weaker people. It's known to entire country how current regime grossly misused CBI and ED to arm twist opposition. They could have jailed too many culprits. As soon as they complied, charges were dropped. So nothing good would ever come out.
