Trending @Accenture; What is escalation?lead always telling will give escalation and pip
I am an ase and joined a project 2 months back, the team lead always say that u are not working properly, this that .u are taking work seriously, ihave to take harsh steps ,always scould us.always tell that will give u escalations and pip .what should I do ,the role is of support ,when he interviewed he told that role would be of development. What if I ask for roll off ,will they put me in pip or just give negative feedback or what will be it's effect

In Accenture it is expected from beginning to take ownership and be on time... I have noticed this lacking in today's ASEs... They take weekly one sick leave and stay away for an hour or 2... Respond to chat or emails very late... That frustrates the TL... Not sure how you work... But if you are one of these then buckle up.. They can't put in PIP for ASEs but they can definitely escalate it to HR and HR can take harsh decisions given the situation of ASEs on bench!

PIP is basically a Performance Improvement Plan, if your lead is telling you this, so you need to focus more on your work.

When you will become TL you will understand.
If someone assigns a task he wants closure of the task also, the majority of ASE does time pass whole day and inform TLs that this work is still pending because of so and so reasons.
Better you start taking tasks seriously, and if stuck highlight it, if completed proactively inform your lead.
When I was fresher it was must for us to carry notebook all the time, and take notes and ask questions, otherwise we used to get lots of scolding.

Escalation is telling manager and hr your vp is at wager and they may roll you off informing hr such things PIP search on net.
