What India's "Fashion Tech" is, it's called Slavery in Western world

YC removed this post after backlash, there is copy of the launch video https://x.com/ns123abc/status/1894204331198439892

This is all of Fashion tech startups working in India, citing productivity and efficiency

  1. It drags workers to inhumane levels just to put fancy numbers on the dashboard
  2. None of these startups make profits, atleast from these products. Some make money through consultancy (but that's another case)

I have been to these manufacturing plants & they don't even allow workers to go home during Diwali & other festive seasons. As the production demand is high. Many of these workers develop chronic diseases such as cancer and asthma due to highly polluted surroundings. Sometimes Gundaas are hired for forced labour.

So the created a service based company equivalent of measuring no. of hrs spent in front of screen?

Not screen They measure input and output

If 10 pieces were cut, in X minutes 10 pieces should be out If there is a delay, you find where is it stuck or who is creating the bottleneck and then fix it

But here we are talking about actual humans, with emotions and weaknesses. They should not be robotised in efficiency box.

And the efficiency numbers are ruthless, deviation margins very low

This is very common.

See samsara and Motive almost a billion plus dollar industry. You get ranked and scored for driving then get eliminated too and then get blacklisted so you can't get hired in any of the companies which use either of their tools.

Keeptruckin ( now motive ) samsara and whole telematics company function the same way and hence had an issue of driver throwing out the device from the obd ports in the beginning. The fleet managers had to get these things installed inside. There is absolutely no innovation which could be done in this industry without making the drivers feel like a slave
