Why are they not changing it. Why are employees not opposing it. No other company has more than 9 hour shift. In fact many have 8 hour shifts.

A corporate company is like a private government. Similar to how people are afraid to unite against a government, employees don't have unity in their actions in a company. Organising and unionising are tough to do when everyone has a lot of things to worry about in their lives.
