Trending @Cognizant; What if there are multiple deadlines for me and inside project and I resign today then will have to complete those or can I relax or work?
My resignation will be given today by me( do I need to talk with my manager first ? If yes then whom HM or SHM or PM?) I don’t want to work as they’re seeking so much work - asking me to deliver 20hrs of work in a day etc So what to do? Can I be chill or maintain good ties till I get LWD or confirmation of anything?
Are you resigning just because you are asked to work ? May be you have to take some time and retrospect if they are asking more or you are not able to deliver . If they are the reason your resignation might be a good option else you may face same situation in next company too . Many feel same like you in early stages of career. Later they learn better ways to do things
No my learning is good but they’re postponing my promotion for more than 3 quarters now almost, one time it was due to wfh (which I had proper approval from everywhere - denied due to name in exception list, 2nd time saying learning goals not met but I showed them that they are still they didn’t tell exact reason, then now they’re saying since I’ve shifted domains and my utilisation is below 75 (it’s 71) so they’re saying it will be next quarter why should I wait for this much of work and pressure for peanuts and sacrificing my time while I’m getting another job in this domain I wanted while getting 100% hike
Promotion and appraisals are bit sensitive things which are given based on many parameters. When the organization size grows , rules also evolve . No one gets what ever they want . If you are already having an offer with 100% hike , I don’t want to confuse you . You have decided your path
Resign and work not more than 8 hours. Don't take any extra work and be transparent in saying that this is how much you can do in a day. Don't spoil any relationship as IT is a small world. But if someone is being unfair to you then you need to be straight forward with them. Don't take up any new work and stay silent in calls.
