What if India started the AI revolution? Hardly made any difference to most IT ppl

Apparently a lot of debate around if India missed the AI opportunity altogether & potential impact on the Indian IT ppl. My opinion is, even if India was a frontrunner, it would not have any positive impact of the lives of most Indian IT ppl. Why? Because, if something like chatgpt is created india, it would have been most likely created by companies like TCS or infy(due to lot of capital & human talent). If they would, they wouldn't have given the tech freely. They would have patented it & charged for it same way chatgpt is charging. & Even with their licensed versions, these companies would have got all the profit, which they would have distributed to their investors. Not to all the employees. Also the jobs which AI is going to impact would anyway remain the same. If AI is going to impact call center jobs, how would an Indian company's AI product would help these indian employees? So even if India would have been the inventor, the AI would not have any positive impact on the life of most of IT ppl. Microsoft is investor in OpenAI. Google too is competing with Gemini. Did that save all the Microsoft & Google employees from layoffs? No. People are being laid off in those companies too. It has been in public domain since last 2+ years. Did it add so many #jobs in USA? Not much.

So let's not overthink much about which country is ahead in AI development. Concentrate on evolving your profile. Because the fact is if you won't evolve and AI is to take your job, it doesn't matter whether it is made in India or US or China.
