What I understand there is no official layoffs but people on bench are being asked to resign.

TCS is going through major restructuring
Specially Targeting Bench people & C4 C5 bands.
Many ppl are asked to resign and released on same day in TCS.
Margin Improvement Plan is their Target
Next qtr they want to show good results

Those who are sitting idle for so long without any projects if they being laid off also is not a wrong thing but yes, the only sad part is those who want to work and doesn't get the projects despite several attempts unfortunately they are also the victims of this policy

In TCS nobody wants to work and that's the biggest fact. And whoever wants to work has to face consequences either from management or so called compliance and all.

They should also come up with 40 day notice period. From nov I think the job market will pickup.

If they do this, they don't even have to force anything. People will leave on their own, the 90 days NP is the major factor. Also with shorted NP talented people will leave easily and its hard for the organization to get hold of them as they expect better salary packages and hikes

TCS wants to reduce the headcount... So they are trying to remove people in many ways... Force resign, not giving hikes...etc.In Bangalore , TCS is planning to reduce 400+ unallocated people to resign on July end......

Yes , according to current situation we see the same.
There are no such things happening at the Pune location yet. Didn't hear any forceful resignation from anyone yet.

How is it i bring 100 from the client side and then it goes to people on bench 5 goes to bench. And I get 20? What are the rest going? Why am I responsible for benchers? Maybe they are there willingly, just lazy enough to switch?

TCS want to reduce headcount to 5% more. They want to create a compensation budgets for upcoming years as well
