It's been some time since I received some kindness from people. The last time I heard some kind words or got a kind gesture was very long ago. Today, whoever I interact with behaves absurdly without any compassion. The shopkeepers won't talk politely if asked about a product, the house owners will talk rudely and make random rules any day, people won't smile on the metro, in restaurants they will shout on the waiters and the list goes on. I am not even bringing up autowalas and taxiwalas. What does it take to show some compassion? How much does it take to compromise a little bit so that other person feels good about this world? Why does everyone want to just rip other off? 😞
I have shifted from banglore to my hometown in rajasthan and its lovely here. Greet everyone with ram ram /radhe radhe and people smile back greet back, its superb. I was missing this element in banglore

Everybody just wants to dump their frustration/anger on someone. And the biggest cause of their frustration/anger is getting someone else's frustration/anger dumped on them.
Seems like the cycle has gone off enough to make everyone just rude at this point.
Thank goodness I am born in Mumbai. I visit like 10 odd food places since childhood. Everyone knows me, they smile and talk. Small resto uncle will give gyaan on politics. Auto driver will tell his story and why BMC is a thug. I think the crux here is to ensure they know you are friendly and they will open up. I have had conversations with liftmen at Palladium that are better than ones I have with people from industry.

Mumbai is hands down THE BEST city I have lived in! I have not felt out of place anywhere in Mumbai. Some of the kindest and sweetest people I have met. And I am from the south. If only I could afford the rent there, I would have happily settled down there. 😅😂
Something that worked for me....I always show compassion-smile during every conversation, talk in a pleasant tone, ask how they are in whatever language they Converse in.

Yes exactly, @Kangaroo please dont focus on such people, you will find more of them, ignore them, their behaviour is not something you can control, dont let these nasty people consume your energy, what matters is only the people who are kinder.

Nowadays it is very difficult to find people with a good heart, emotions, real love and respect. The world has changed a lot, people have no mercy, no love, no care and no attachment. All have become selfish, flirt, sometimes inhumanity....
I think mine was helping metro travelers out with directions, many newbies and even locals find it confusing and need help with stations and where to change metros.
Mine's terrible at organising things around the house and his room, leaves food outside on the table at night, leaves lights, geysers on all the time. Sits with his legs on the dining table.
