What exactly went wrong at the leadership?
I am still processing what is happening at the company. I have been here for 15yrs and have never seen this mess. What exactly is the CxO people seeing that I am not seeing at account level?
What is causing them to dump their people centric cautious model and jumping into a talent war.
With this layoff, everyone will want top dollars to join TCS. ARE they prepared to fight for top talents?
This seems like such a stupid move.

I believe it was very strategic decision with good intentions... I initially supported it.
Redundant managerial people need better deployment or even removed... You CAN'T get 30-40 lakhs just to attend calls & with ZERO contribution...
The inner lobby of every a/c needed a nudge...
Now the biggest problem is the implementation...
Let's be honest people implementing it are from the 2000 era who have outdated management techniques...

I can see only top managers who have strong hold are able to save there jobs , but people who are contributing are targeted to save there ass

I come in the salary range you mentioned. c4 level but do technical architecture job of designing entire architecture and even actually implementing and coding it to a lot of extent. In addition handle customers and do project manager kind of job in some capacity. But i too fear for my job right now. Their implementation seems supremely botched.

This company is now trying to remove people they think are in high CTC but are gonna get royally fked when the new people they will ask astronomical salaries to join. What will they do then?
Not just that, the high CTC people are getting squeezed which is resulting to everyone under that guy getting squeezed too lol they’re saying more than 1 leave in Aug and Sept will be escalated to HR, and we’ll need to justify extensively in our project lol what a joke

In essence, layoffs after such a long gap usually reflect a combination of external market realities and internal strategic or operational issues also over the past decade, if TCS leadership was slow to adapt rapid technology changes or evolving client needs, it might have resulted in reduced competitiveness impacting workforce decisions., now Leadership’s challenge is to manage this transition effectively while rebuilding employee trust and focusing on sustainable growth. As per my view this step will backfire down the line.

CTC , total exp. and tech stack?

Thats exactly my question too
I am wondering
What did just happen like ok ur firing but not when everyone was doing but now
If its due to AI that was a long way coming they might have analysed it being TCS at such a large scale across all the globe
Next you found ur managers not upskilling or not relevent fit for roles how did they suddenly became not fit like in matter of 2 months

Yes really not getting what these decisions put tcs is it noel tata or the recruitment happend in 2021 or over looked into projects never did deep dive just to be the employee side and suddenly flipped against million dollar question

Things cannot be simply put on table over night against employees that too not expected from Tata should have been in a bette way which could help both employees and company..

What happened?.
