I received a “job offer” from an ex-colleague who moved to another project, specifying that he’s looking for an analyst, Band 9. Im not sure what Band 9 is. Is it salary in the 9 LPA range? Or a level to a certification?

Band 9, my dear, is a corporate ladder rung, not a lottery ticket. It's about responsibility, not just salary. "9 LPA range", seriously? Kya aapko sirf paiso ki padi hai? What's your career vision?
