What do you think providing deals from multiple platforms
Hi everybody, I want to understand customer choice regarding buying habits. Recently I have founded my company called #TheshopScanner available on both IOS/Android. Where we trying to provide better deals to our customers from #flipkart, #amazon, #nykaa etc. So what is your opinion?

Good Idea but there still seems to be some bugs in the app. Also would suggest adding more filter options and decreasing the Text size/Icon size appropriately. Will review the app after some time again. All the best!
Fyi - I'm using an Android phone.

Thank you 🙏🏼 for your valuable feedback, well keep your feedback under consideration 🤗

This is a tried and tested model where you rely solely on:
- Channel discounts from vendors
- Finding discounted products and channeling them into your platform (multiple telegram groups do this)
In (1), channels themselves don’t offer discounts now and there would be no incentive in them offering added discounts for users of an app unless you’re promising them with some metrics where you’re collecting a user base that are more likely to become paying customers. (Think: Exclusive items for India’s Middle Class or Rich)
(2) is a bloated market because of artificial discounts. A lot of 80% discount products are marked up in MRP and available at the same rate on the same platform or different, so 80% discount becomes meaningless.
I can make a chair, say it’s worth ₹10L and offer it for ₹10k. That’s a 99% discount. But the average consumer is smart enough to guess the true worth of a product. This is also why the discounting strategy doesn’t work unless you give a realistic figure. It’s easy to recognise a marketing stunt.
This is solely my opinion, backed by anecdotal data and there might be consumers who buy a product just because it is discounted.
But a better problem to solve will be to create a persona that you want to target, find products that they’d like and sell them that product. For example, I love to cook and I spend a lot of my time chopping and dicing. I might not know that there exists a device that will ease this task. If you can find and list this product for me with some videos on how this product is helpful, the chances are you’ll convert me into a buying customer sooner than showing me all the kitchen products with 80% discounts.
