What do you think about 1984 by George orwell?

I am about to finish 1984, and the last chapters are intense. Especiallly when he is reading chapters from THE BOOK. No doubt those things mentioned in there are 100% relevant even today.

Is it just me or does it get uneasy while reading the harsh truth about our society?

The uneasy part is how helpless a single person can be against the system.

And it becomes even more terrifying with the Indian public's incompetency in getting accountability from their elected representatives and just how easy to take away their rights.
