Staying too long at a company because the work was comfortable but the job did not offer growth. Prioritise growth early on in your career. Comfort will eventually follow. Don't get too complacent early on.

Couple of them:-

  1. Kept work over my health.
  2. Took work too seriously that led to burnout without a worthy payout.
  3. Missed going out with friends when they were still available.
  4. Late switching flattened my growth curve.
  5. Making friends in corporate.

Chasing money instead of skills Falling for quick-money traps (Ponzi, network marketing, F&O) Taking personal loans for lifestyle Not focusing on getting into top 5% earners early Staying too long in comfort zone/one role Not building a strong network Burning bridges or showing hate , tech world is very small Not asking for help/feedback from seniors Saving small amounts instead of learning high-value skills Ignoring health, posture, fitness

I am 36 with 12+ exp and did all the mistakes and trying to overcome just now.
As you are early first step make sure in a technology which is in demand and pay good salary. I regret that in my part Start investing from tomorrow if not done yet. Direct stocks ,mutual fund, land. If it's not paying or giving learning for next role don't stay long Most important be private about your income and things that make you happy even with family
Take term insurance because premium will be less at young age.

In my experience, I didn't switch fast enough. I suggest switching every 2 years.
Also, make sure you switch technologies too. Diversifying knowledge in different tech is very important.
Keep learning everyday.
Try to get into FAANG early on.
