Trending @Accenture; What do they mean by "loaning" a resource? What are the pros and cons?

For context, I am an ASE who was onboarded in October 2024. I have been part of a client project for the past 12 months. The project has now concluded; however, I have not been released as I was informed that I need to complete a minimum of 18 months in a client project. The team has now agreed to place me on a loan assignment to another client project. I would like to understand how a loan assignment works and what it implies. Additionally, will being on a loan assignment impact my eligibility for increments or promotions in the current cycle?

Loaning means similar to contractor role. Here it happens internally between 2 DU.
