What do I have to do to get into VC?
Hey everyone,
I am tier 1 btech grad with fucked up acads. Working at a very early stage startup currently.
I aim to become founder/founding member of my startup. To enable that I want to build good domain knowledge+ investor network+ good tech co-founder. I think all 3 can be fulfilled by spending time in VC job. And the pay will be good too.
I know it'll remain tough for me even after a MBA with my acads to crack tier-1 VC firms right away.
Want to start with mid-level VC firm first Suggest the steps I should follow.

Wrong reasons to do a VC job
- Want to build good domain knowledge - build something, work at an early stage startup
- Investor network - you don't need this if you're building something good, good ideas and execution always finds capital
- Good tech co-founder - no way a VC job solves for this, you're a tier-1 btech grad: you should ideally already have this network to tap into

A very strong network with a founder who is well connected with the ecosystem could be a good start
