What are your thoughts on Threads App (by Instagram)?

Curious what everyone here thinks - will Threads do well?
Twitter is not at its best as a platform right now. Zuck releasing threads at this time is a strategic move
Agreed. Elon musk has fucked Twitter so much.
The reach is down drastically. Changed the algorithm. Limited the number of posts you can view in a day. Like seriously? You are basically saying don't come often to Twitter, we won't show you the posts.
The platform has become so slow. Takes a ton of time to load msgs, post comments, etc.
Twitter is a disaster right now. Hopefully Threads can prove to be a better platform.
I don't think Elon has fucked with Twitter at all.
Also, I think the limit on the number of posts visible is a brilliant idea in the short term. People who were skeptical of buying Twitter Blue now have received a solid push to buy it immediately.
People who don't use Twitter that much won't go anywhere since they were not exceeding 600-800 posts a day.
People who are addicted to Twitter and cannot/won't pay will not leave it. Any kind of addiction takes a long time to get rid of and I am pretty sure things will go back to normal in a few weeks.
Elon can control the regressive scraping of Twitter while increasing revenue and generate a buzz in the media—free publicity. A brilliant move.
They’ve one of the biggest ad engine. And apps with a billion plus dau.
They can succeed. Provided they don’t mess up like google+

Many people tend to keep the twitter followers/following different from that of insta/FB. But, meta being meta, will for sure advertise your tweets/thread whatever they call it across platforms and everything will be linked.

You don't want Facebook to fcuk the world Instagram has ruined the 50% of population through manipulation. People blindly belive on fake things on insta.

don't think it can beat Twitter.... don't think people have interest in one more app if it's totally different from existing apps
Facebook killed its own credibility long back, by killing facebook pages and even personal timelines. They had done it sometime around 2011-12. Before that your posts used to be shown to all friends. And a facebook page’s posts used to be shown to all its followers/likers. But after that, in the name of organic growth and what not, they just killed the fan pages and even personal posts. So what Elon Musk is doing right now with twitter, facebook had done much worse way back, to earn money. So I don’t have any faith in any new of facebook’s apps. Besides, twitter’s historical user base, is here to stay, due to nostalgia, familiarity of use, already made circles.
Wait, wasn't threads a Twitter companion app (sunset in Dec 2021), like messenger for Facebook 🤔
