What are the factors that deter software engineers the most from using any software/devtool/saas product?

Trying to evaluate what factors do software engineers consider the absolute must haves in the external software/APIs they're trying to use. Maybe these issues are encountered during software evaluation or during implementation. Feel free to highlight anything in comments too. I'll start for me it's bad documentation and lack of ready to use examples.
