What are some good ad networks to monetize website traffic?

Would like to explore good alternatives to Google Adsense banners if possible.

I've been approached once in a while by businesses that want to feature their banners on my website but only for short period campaigns.

Traffic is around 2k users per month with occasional spikes, niche and organic website visits.
