
What all things are required to get promoted to an SDE2 level?
I have been working as a frontend developer typically in developing cross platform mobile apps with react native and sometimes websites with react an a banglore based startup. My current yoe is 1+ with 5 months internship. When is the right time to ask for a promotion or what all skills are required when doing a company switch.

Some of the things I feel are important:
- Regularly connect with your manager in 1:1, keep your expectations clear and aligned with him.
- Ask what you need to do to get promoted, and ask for the work that helps you further your cause.
- Any initiative which involves multiple teams helps with visibility.
- Every project has a certain visibility across your organisation, make sure you have a healthy mix of challenging stuff(so that you like your work) and visible initiatives.
- Show your work on internal forums. Show that you are taking initiatives.

Just recently came across some medium blogs of intuit where they transitioned their apps from react native to native platforms and also they said to stop using react native in further products. How accurate is this info? If they still do use react native then do they hire for specific role?
Take more ownership. Deliver projects with quality end-to-end. Get a good leverage in the team. Solve complex problems with minimal guidance.
