WFO or WFH

I got released from a project and tagged to a new project and that project doesn't have odc at my base location.

1.Do I need to go to the office everyday or can I ask the HR and negotiate to work from home.

2. Should I transfer to that location ( I am not preferring this).

Any thoughts.....
