
WFO Non Compliance
Currently there is some medical emergency going on in my family and I need to stay at home for the support as I am the only one in my family to look after for them. They have given some days of WFH but now they are denying for the same even after I described the situation to them. Currently I am unofficially doing WFH and I am getting some mails regarding my WFO non Compliance from HR. Will it impact something big ? Like will they lay me off from TCS if I continue to do so for another 2-3 months ? Please someone suggest

Nothing will happen, at the most your Variable pay will be effected

I am okay with that if that is the only action they will take. Are you sure bro ? If so I can be assured at-least. Are you doing the same , like not reporting to office and doing wfh unofficially ? Here i am getting various kinds of replies like i may get terminated, appraisal will stop etc. I am confused between the answers

Please raise WFO exception under correct category. Personal exigency, medical care dependent, you will need to upload documents, discuss with your HR and just inform the same to project that you will not be able to report to office.
Max thing you will lose out on your QVA allowance pay and HR might flag your promotion, if pending with non compliance.
Family comes first, take care on that side.
If project manager says anything, tell him that is the best you can do. Fuck him/her. They will anyways be never satisfied. Try and come to office once in a while, meet with them. Try and have a good rapport, it helps.

Raised the WFO exception multiple times connecting with the HR, for one time HR was also convinced and approved but supervisor called me and threatened not to raise WFO exception again. Irony is the same supervisor is approving exceptions for others in same location without any valid reasons. I was the one having 100% compliance till February and asked only 1-2 months till my father at-least able to move by his own. He said we can’t give WFH for family medical issues. If it’s your personal medical issues we could have considered. Now what to argue with this situation. I could have thrown the resignation by now, but seeing the current market conditions and my own financial conditions i am stuck

In TCS, every HR seems to have their own version of company policy—like a “Make Your Own Rules” game. The policy hub clearly states that a male employee can get WFO for a year just by submitting the child’s birth certificate. But my HR? Oh no, according to them, unless the child has medical complications or the mother is breastfeeding, WFO is just a dream. Guess TCS policies are more like suggestions than actual rules!

For same Situation. HR put UA for few days in Feb month. I received less salary. I asked for reason, they are unable give proper reason. I asked for policy reference, from which they took this action. They are threatening me over my personal phone no. I raised the grievance for this. Now Investigation is in progress.

2-3 months doing unapproved wfh will surely get you terminated bro

I will recommend you to atleast swipe in the office to maintain atleast 65% attendance. I heard they terminated few associates from Hyderabad
