I am in my hometown for 1 week due to family needs. I didn't take exception from HR and didn't visit the office. Will HR ask me about this?

They will ask you for sure about this as you will be marked as non-compliant.. better you raise an exception after agreement with your leads or manager

One week is fine, give an excuse you were going to visit on a Fri but had some traffic or rain or health issue so couldn't come
