WFO exception request

Can I get a wfo exception after my wife got admitted in hospital for baby delivery? If yes, for how much period max and what are the documents required ?

Before delivery you can avail 6 days wfo exception that is available per quarter or else you can even take leaves. After delivery by submitting discharge summary or any other medical documents you are eligible for 15 days paternity leaves. Please check the policy documents once or you can also mail your HRBP.

I think there is no paternity leave policy in TCS.

For now you can take Days as per quarter. Then after delivery you should raise the child care WFO exception. Every month you need to raise till 1year. Hr and your supervisor need to approve this.

Usually it's 6 days per Quarter
You can discuss with your manager & get approval for desired days.

Will you be seating along the wife in hospital and working in laptop ?

What if she needs some medical assistance and you are in a meeting at same time with a client ?

Please do understand WFH exception means you need to work dedicatedly from home. For these kind of scenarios TCS have leaves granted to you why not using them ?

You can avail Exception under Flexible Work Options - Medical Care - Others and upload her medical documents. HR will approve it. This will be the right category

You can get 6 months WFH as per the policy. Drop email to hr and take confirmation
