WFO Exception limit query

Does anyone have any clarity on this - My swipe record is missing for 1 day. I raised this to manager who asked to raise ticket on which I got a response to raise exception. My question is - will this exception be part of the 6/quarter as this is not planned? Or is it independent of the 6 per quarter limit? Anyone? Thanks
