WFH vs WFO????????
Option 1 - 14.5 LPA F (WFH - Rural town, almost zero expenses) Option 2 - 26 LPA F + 4 LPA V (WFO Hyderabad)
Both companies are leaders in their respective industry
YOE - 6.5, CCTC - 10 LPA. I have been doing WFH for the past 3 years. My brother works remotely as well. My personal opinion is that city/metro life is overhyped. I have lived in Mumbai, Near Pune and in Nagpur.
Thinking about going with option 1. Anyone here who has been through the similar kind of dilemma?
Suppose if you have opted for 1. After few months, if they call you to WFO what will you do?
Ask option 1 company to give till 22lpa

Go for Option 2. WFH is best I am not disagreeing, but you have to see how much increment you will get.
Going for Option 1 is like getting 40% increment While option 2 gives you 160% increment.
Also, you are not sure that option 1 will be permanent WFH. They can call you to come to office anytime.
First try negotiating with option 1 to get a hike maybe at least around 20 lpa .
If it doesn't work Option 2 is certainly a better option and worth a try as it's giving you a good hike and setting a new bench mark for you .
If maybe in a year or two, you want to switch or reconsider WFH offers, those will be based on your increased salary which option 2 is offering .
So an opportunity to set up new payscale standards for yourself .
Option 2. You can save more and live a stress free life. Ask for atleast 18 or 17 lpa. With Option 1 you have to pay for rent, travel, etc.
Blindly option 2.
Option 2 anyday! Atleast put the given options. I agree the cities are overhyped, but dont you wanna settle? Do you want to work remote lifetime? Is it possible?
