Wfh - Personal Exigency

As per Tcs policy , any FTE can take maximum 6 wfh in a quarter under personal exigency after discussing with manager.

But in few projects, managers are saying, our project does not follow personal exigency policy, we will not give any wfh under personal exigency even though it's for a medical reasons.

Can any manager says like this, it's like denying Tcs policy.what step should an employee take if he face this type of issue.

Few projects are like where you can not work from home . There is no access to client environment outside office . In those cases obviously this policy will not apply but if you can actually work from home using all the tools and access them it should be allowed

Manager is none to decide all these things ... weather to give leave or not... talk with HR... if your project really has such a policy for not granting leave/sabbatical then chnge your project and apply for leave... However i doubt, as I have read many project contract documents and if such rules are to be implemented in project then it will.exclusively mentioned in contract document ... change the project if you have a genuine case, and happy apply for leave .remember you will not be paid or exp counted during the leave period.

I think no body will deny the approvals for medical reasons

Please inform via email and add hr well.

He is completely lying, ask him to send this information in an e-mail.. I am sure he doesn't have the guts to do that... After that you can simply mail 2 days before you want to take exception but don't forget to cc his manager also, better to add HR as well...this way you will get your exception 100% approved.

Never communicate with such toxic a$$hóles without mail, that's my suggestion.
