I went office but somehow for that day avg hours was less than 3.5hours.. will that be counted as present, my wfh has been exhausted for this month, whom should i reach, project manager is khadoos and non-supporting.

If you stay less than 3.5 hours, it won't count as present. Discuss with HR if your project manager isn't supportive.

Supportive for what?? Manipulating timesheet hours . Technically it is time theft and is a criminal offence in many geographies. Lucky you are working in India ..

Better to apply a half day leave, it'll consider it as paid leave for that day

Apply OD for the days >3.5... see if your manager accepts it. Otherwise no option u have to apply leave.... Coz exception work from home is not accepted by many managers.
