I have decided to marry my long time girlfriend. How much would a low-key classy wedding cost?

No one has ever received an award for best wedding. Don't kill yourself with debt.

Got married last year. Post COVID vendors are charging 15%-20% higher in Tier 2 city. Ended up having an expense of 60 lacs, split 50:50 between the families.

Bro, I would rather buy BMW since no one gonna come to help in my hard days. So I find health justification of selling BMW to cop up with my hard days

27M here and definitely not. I see marriage as a useless religious ritual and spending hard earned money on it is totally unnecessary. Even if you do, a lot of the attendees won't remember after a week anyway, so no use.

I'll just get a registered marriage using Special marriages act and throw in a reception to friends and family who wants to attend. Nothing more, and absolutely no religion mess.

20 lakhs is enough (split between you and the girl)

In a 2-tier city , 10-15Lakhs will be enough

  • sangeet (50-60 ppl)
  • wedding + reception (~300 ppl)

Cost of clothes, jewellery, venue and food

How much did you spend on your wedding?
