Web solutions engineer vs software engineer in Google?

I got approached for applying for a Web solutions engineer role in Google. From the initial discussion, it seemed somewhat different from the software engineering role, especially in terms of the hands-on coding involved. 🤔

Can someone please share if this role of web solutions engineer should be persuaded by someone, who has, all through his career, been a typical software/product engineer?
