"We Regret to Inform You (Again!)”
I wake up each day with hopeful cheer, “Today’s the job, it’s finally here!” I polish my CV, make it shine, Send out applications, line by line.
But ding! my inbox sings its tune, Another regret arrives by noon. They thank me kindly, wish me the best, And add my dreams to their “unsuccessful quest.”
I sip my chai, suppress a sigh, Hit “apply” and wonder why. One day they’ll cheer instead of boo— Till then: “We regret to inform you.”
