No labour laws to protect the working force. Heck, the law and order itself is a slave to many and has been recently seen bending over and spreading legs wide open to those in power. So, yeah. That's the core issue of all.

The best solution for this is to set boundaries from the start. Do not ask for leaves. Give a reasonable notice and apply and then just take off. Also, build your place in the org, build dependencies and equity. You can then easily say f**k off and go on those leaves without waiting for approval.

I think the main problem stems from the fact that you give most Indians some power and they abuse it. Same goes with managers, the minute they have some control they start using it like a hunter.

And on the flip side there are employees who abuse facilities. So as a result everyone suffers
