We Don't need you, You need us! 😅

While working in the previous organization for only 5 months or so I realized the work I was doing was more than the amount I imagined & even had an exponential learning curve for day to day tasks. While I worked diligently there, I got a better offer with another firm & it was more similar to what I had done earlier & would have made me grow better. With this surety, I resigned.

When I was deliberating with Senior GM & HR everything was looking good & they showed interest in retaining me. But as soon as I reached a senior VP for a discussion, I was told I'm not needed that much & can easily be replaced with people on the bench. Since I was under probation period, SVP offered to raise 7-8% at max & told me that it may also be possible to change teams if required after 2-3 months.

I was bewildered by the fact that 2 Senior people had different handling criteria for me (Good/Bad). I was taken aback. Even if I wanted to stay there in tough conditions, after such a harsh statement I decided to move ahead at all costs!

Does this happen generally or I was some special case? 😅😅
