Although it’s heartbreaking—and a reminder that it could have happened to any of us—it raises the question: how would things have been handled if this had occurred in a developed country? Similar tragedies happened in Japan and Canada earlier in 2025. Sometimes, no matter the precautions or consequences, such events seem inevitable. While justice is important, the real takeaway from this incident is to value the time we have and make the most of whatever remains.
