Watched some really good shows/movies in 2024. Here are 10 that stood out for me, in no particular order:

🎥 Manjummel Boys (Malayalam) Survival thriller about a group of friends from Kerala on a trip to Kodaikanal, Tamilnadu. Incredible set design, screenplay and performances.

📺 Shogun (English) A sweeping historical series set in sengoku period feudal Japan, blending political intrigue, culture clashes, and epic performances. Pure cinematic brilliance.

🎥 Bhramayugam (Malayalam)

A dark, mythological fantasy thriller that explores human greed and the supernatural. Shot in black and white. Only three actors in the movie for the majority of the runtime.

🎥 Gentlemen (English) A slick, stylish crime caper from Guy Ritchie. Pure British entertainment from start to finish. It has a little bit of everything. Waiting for season 2. Streams on Netflix.

📺 The Penguin (English) Absolutely nailed the tone and atmosphere. Gritty and grimy and dark. Farrell is able to capture that charm Tony Soprano did.

🎥 McMahon (English) A gripping documentary that peels back the curtain on one of wrestling entertainment’s most controversial figures.

🎥 Dune: Part Two (English) Even better than the first, follows the journey of Paul becoming Lisan Al Gaib and a leader
